We come from a land down under.

Internut was founded in Gold Coast, Australia in 2001 with the vision of creating websites that didn’t suck. Mainly working with corporations, we had seen first-hand how organisations suffered from badly designed and poorly built websites. At the same time, smartphone usage was taking off, with the promise of a more relevant and user-friendly mobile app platform. A bright new age of productivity was emerging.

It took just 5 years to cross the ocean.

In our first five years we built web systems that are now used by thousands of users and support billions of dollars in transactions at large organisations. We also realised that the old ways of creating software in hierarchical teams were holding us back. Our developers and designers were full of enthusiasm, skills and ideas to improve our products and services, but this energy was largely untapped. We unleashed our team’s potential, implementing a flat org structure and unlimited resources by branching out to Asia. Productivity took off!

The next step was to work hard at establishing a team to serve the Asian market. In 2005, we setup a new HQ in bustling Kuala Lumpur. While immediately acquiring a taste for nasi lemak and ice kacang, there were some other things Internut Sdn Bhd acquired just as quickly. These were mobile app projects for industry heavyweights such as Air Asia, Axiata, MCMC and PNB. It was clear that the Malaysian market was ready for the mobile app revolution.

Innovation as a service.

In our first few years we had shied away from the chance to work on many ideas brought to us by talented entrepreneurs while focusing strictly on the giants. We however always respected the creative potential of start-ups, but we couldn’t bridge the gap between their raw dreams and our systematic reality. This was frustrating, so in 2015 we refined our collective years of experience in product creation into a methodology with one aim in mind: finding a way to also help tech entrepreneurs start from a blank sheet of paper. Exposing all our product development expertise to entrepreneurs was our priority and a third office in Ahmedebad, India was established to field-test this new service.

Quite simply, we had created the most effective way of overcoming the innovation bottleneck. When you come to Internut with an idea, on day one we are able to progress with you to the next level - be it validation, a product plan, development or growth. We have a team of the best UI/UX designers, web engineers and mobile app developers, as well as our now counting three offices worldwide with 35 members in total. With this extensive group of software experts and growth hackers, each with in-the-field expertise in the markets and industries that matter to you.
